Whispersync for Voice: Whispersynch is my favorite way to save money on audiobooks. Want to give it a try? Ivy Granger books qualify for Whispersynch, including Shadow Sight, Ghost Light, Club Nexus, Burning, Bright, and Birthright. Grab the Kindle book for $2.99-$3.99, and Amazon and Audible will offer you a low price of $1.99 to add the audiobook on Audible! That's a HUGE savings over the audiobook retail price and you get both books.
(Pro Tip: Switch seamlessly between reading the Kindle book and listening to the audiobook. Watch this great video on using Whisperync to see how easy it is.)
Free Book with Audible Trial: If you are thinking about trying a monthly Audible membership for the first time, be sure to get your Free Book when you sign up. The Audible membership is free the first month and a low, monthly fee after that. You can cancel at any time, which means there's no obligation to stick with Audible after your free trial. Follow this link to get Shadow Sight free, and embark on your new membership and kick off the Ivy Granger series.
(Want to get your free book, but have already listened to Shadow Sight? Here are links to begin your free Audible trial with any Ivy Granger book! Blood and Mistletoe. Ghost Light. Club Nexus. Burning Bright. Birthright.)
Audible Membership: As mentioned above, it's free to sign up for a new Audible membership. But even if you've had a membership in the past and don't qualify for the freebie, it's a low, set monthly price, they'll exchange a book if you don't like it, and you can cancel at any time (your books are yours to keep). Let's face it. Audiobooks, especially full-length novels, can be expensive. If you listen to a lot of audiobooks, this is a great way to save money. You get one book per month for $14.95 which works out to around a $5 savings. That's a savings of $60 per year. Not too shabby, especially when you combine it with some of these other tips and tricks.
(Pro Tip: Use your Audible membership for the most expensive books on your TBR list, and pay out-of-pocket for shorter, cheap reads.)
Giveaways: Keep an eye out for giveaways. Follow your favorite book blogs, do a Google search, or follow audiobook Facebook groups. This can be a great way to win an audiobook, or audio related swag (such as these gorgeous, custom earbuds I'm giving away this month).
(Pro Tip: When looking for blogs or Facebook groups search for "audio book" and "audiobook" since both spellings are used.)
Libraries: Many libraries offer audiobooks. If you don't mind waiting on the hold's list, this can be a great way to supplement your monthly listening with free reads.
Happy Audiobook Month!
